JOHNS HOPKINS HEALTH REVIEW Spring/Summer 2016.

We have chosen a symbolic interpretation with elements inspired by the natural world. We wanted to communicate the psychological state of the patient suffering from the symptoms of inflammation. We imagined inflammation inside the human body as a creeper plant with some leaves like flames of candle burning...as a creeper, the inflammation spreads to more parts of the body.
