Pride and Prejudice is a very famous novel by Jane Austen, first published in 1813. The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet, the second of five daughters of a country gentleman living near the fictional town of Meryton in Hertfordshire, near London, early 19th-century England. Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy is the rich male protagonist of the novel, Twenty-eight years old and unmarried. Between Darcy and Elizabeth borns a controversial report, made up of pride on the one hand and of prejudice on the other..."It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."
