XXI edition of the International Exhibition of Triennale in Milan April 2, 2016 - February 19, 2017 Ninth edition of the Triennale Design Museum. Anna+Elena=Balbusso participate with their grand scale painting of St. Catherine of Alexandria to W-Women in Italian Design, ninth edition of the Triennale Design Museum, an exhibition curated by Silvana Annicchiarico, set up by Margherita Palli and graphic design by Irene Bacchi. In the Palazzo dell’Arte exhibition space, St. Catherine is part of a series of female patron saints holding an object or work tool, created specially by major Italian female illustrators and designers. The images, printed on the curtains five meters high, surround and protect the flood of objects that represent the best italian female design of the 20th and 21st centuries. W-Women in Italian Design is trying to figure out a new course of the italian design declined under the feminine viewpoint, reconstructing design figures, theories, attitudes that were spread along the 19th century, and affirmed, transformed and evolved during the 21st century.
